He is a spoiled playboy prince whose family is in desperate need of money.

She’s an American heiress who can only get her inheritance through marriage.

According to their families they are a perfect match.
According to each other, arranged marriages have no place in modern times and this could not possibly work.
But Prince Galahad “Gale” of Ersovia is bound by duty to obey the crown anyway.

Odette Wyntor doesn’t give a damn, she doesn’t want to get married.

Can he change her mind?

Can she even handle what it means to be royal, if he did?

My Thoughts...

First of all could we all admire the amazing cover, and not only on this book but for the rest of the series. They are all stunning I need to own these books in paperbacks so I can admire the covers all day long. They are honestly stunning so kudos to the author for choosing such amazing covers.

Okay lets move on from the cover love and let me just shower this book with so much praise. Because this book was beautifully written, with amazing complex three-dimensional characters and a fabulous slow burn romance. This story follows Odette who is an American heiress and Gale the Prince of Ersovia. Both of them have been set up for an arranged marriage/marriage of convenience by their parents/families. I loved reading the interactions between Odette and Gale, they matched each other wit for wit. They were honestly the perfect match for each other, no matter how much either of them tried to deny it.

The characters were so easy to love. Especially our main characters, in my eyes they can do no wrong, that's how much I love them. This book did start off with a marriage of convince and that is what it is. However, during this book you watch the characters grow to friends as they get to know one another and then become something more. This is a slow burn romance, so nothing will happen instantly but it just worked so beautifully with these two. I am normally mot a fan of such slow burn romance because of the angst and the amount of time it takes the characters to get together. But again, it worked out so amazing in this book. The author really knew what she was doing.

I am excited to to see where the second book goes with Odette and Gale and to witness their journey, especially after what happened at the end of the first book. I just know the second book is going to destroy me and then put me back together very slowly.

I am beyond excited to continue on with the rest of this series as well as to continue reading more from this author.
