What is this book about?

He’s not a criminal, he’s the criminal. Ruthless and gorgeous, he rules half of New York. Everyone knows his name: Konstantin. I’m the exact opposite. As an FBI surveillance specialist, my job is to be invisible and that suits me just fine. I spend my life watching Konstantin, and he’s never once seen the shy girl taking photos from across the street.

But when Konstantin’s beautiful but evil “companion,” Christina, is injured in a car crash, we get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Plastic surgery can make me look just like her: I can take her place at Konstantin’s side and learn every secret he’s got. I must learn to mimic her exactly, from the way she walks to the sounds she makes in bed. Because if he suspects for one instant that I’m not her...he’ll kill me.

I soon discover that there’s more to Konstantin than anyone knows. That cold exterior hides a lifetime of pain and a deep, scorching need that takes my breath away. As our feelings spin out of control and my loyalties are tested, I need to know: is he falling for me...or the woman I’m impersonating? I was sent to destroy him but I might be the only one who can save him. And the love I was told to fake might just be real.

My Thoughts...

This book had so much potential, although it wasn't bad and I did enjoy it, I did feel that it could've been so much better. The heroin for one did not do it for me. She's supposed to be in the FBI and to know better then to fall for a criminal, but apparently not and it was just too insta lovey in that respect. I kind of wanted her not to fall for him that fast, especially with how long the book turned out to be.

I really liked the hero in this book, I thought his character was developed nicely. He was pretty badass in my eyes, although I wish we did get to know more about him and how he built his empire all by himself. I really enjoyed a side character, Callahan, he was just too sweet and I think we may be getting his book soon which is exciting!

There were some BDSM scenes but it wasn't in detail, and there were some steamy sexy times in this book which were so damn hot.

Overall, I did enjoy this book, but at the same time I wanted more, I didn't like the insta love in it or even the heroin in this book. What made me like it was the over arching story line, the hero and because it was about criminals! I am looking forward to checking out this authors other work and I am also extremely excited for Callahan's book also.
