What I Read in November

These are all the books I managed to read in November... 

The first book I read this month was 'Queen Takes Knights' by Joely Sue Burkhart. This is the first in a five or six book series I believe, and it was a paranormal romance that had vampires in it, which was great to read a book with vampires. One thing that I really did not like about this book was how insta lovey it was, I mean, the main character was running for her life and all of a sudden two men come and say they're going to protect her and she has some sexy times with them? or a lot actually. I feel like this book could've been better without that insta lovey component. I will be continuing on with the series just because the concepts of this series is so different, well in my opinion it is.

The next book I read was 'Capture' by Olivia Ryann. This book I believe is a dark romance... but I could be wrong. It is considered as a prequel and I don't think I really liked it as I gave it 2 stars on Goodreads. So I won't say much about it because I don't remember that much unfortunately...

Next, I read an amazing book, 'Tick Tock' by Jane Harvey-Berrick. I don't want to say too much about this book as I already have a review on it so you can have a look at that, but what I will say is that this book has excellent representation and a strong female character.

I also read 'Cole Cold Heart' by K. Webster. I have also done a review on this book on my blog so I won't say much more other than it was dark and gritty and amazing and confusing at times. I really liked this book and K. Webster can really write some dark s**t.

This month, I read another dark romance, 'Stolen' by Dani Rene. I really did not like this book. I hated the main character and despised the relationship that was going to happen. This was definitely not a book for me.

The next book I read this month was 'Sparks' by C.P Mandara. I did like this book and the over arching plot line, however one thing that I did not really like and was not expecting was the amount of sexy times. There was just too many for my liking, but it does go along with the over arching plot line and it was not just filler, it did have a purpose, but for me, personally I did not like the amount. I also found with this book that it was dragging in parts a little too much and for me it was very unnecessary. Although, I am keen to start reading book two in this series and see how it goes.

The last book I read this month was 'Smoke' by C.P Mandara, the sequel to 'Sparks'. I highly enjoyed this book and did not mind the amount of sexy times in this book. The pacing was pretty good, there were no parts that I felt were dragging like in the first book. I am so excited for the third book, there is no release date as of yet, which is sad because now I have to wait and after the cliff-hanger in this book, I don't know how long i'll be able to survive.

I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads. Although it is more of a 3.5 stars. 

To wrap up, this month I had one of the worst reading months of the year unfortunately. My top book for this month is 'Tick Tock' by Jane Harvey-Berrick.
