What is this book about?
I once was a hero.
Until she kept me as her captive, tortured me, and killed my brothers.
She bred a monster.
Nothing could stop me from seeking revenge.
But it was over so quickly—her easy death a mercy she didn’t deserve.

For a decade, the burning rage of what she did has transformed into something uncontrollable. Something I want to feed. Something I crave to unleash.

I want to make her pay.
Over and over and over again.

Finding the evil, spoiled women sates my ravenous, vengeful soul.
I hunt. I capture. I destroy.
Slowly. So slowly.
One, two, three, four, five…
And now six.

I’m wicked and sadistic.
I am Cold Cole Heart.
My mission is death and their payment to me has come due.

Number six thinks she is different.
Yet when I look at her, I see them.
She will pay.
They always do.

My Thoughts...

I pretty much read almost everything that K. Webster releases, and this book was no exception. It is a dark romance novel, that will spin you around and drive you crazy with how dark it is. Regardless, I still enjoyed this book, I love dark books and this was pretty dark.

The characters in this book were amazing, the main female character was so strong, even when she thought she was being weak, she was always so strong in my eyes and I loved how she would not give up her hope. At times, there were moments where she was getting a little annoying, well what would you expect when you were kidnapped? But it wasn't necessarily about that but more about how Cole, the main male character, was treating her. That did not bother me too much though, moreover, there were a few flashbacks in this book that were so depressing. I felt for Cole and what he went through, I literally wanted to rip out Anta's head, the villain in Coles story.

There was one flashback in particular that got to me, I really don't want to spoil the book, but it was all about Mack and what he said killed me, I cried so hard during that part, it literally broke my heart, I was feeling too many emotions!

Overall, this book was a good, decent very dark yet romantic? book. I still do not understand how I found it romantic, but it was. I would definitely recommend any dark romance readers to pick this book up, or anything else by this author as she does write dark books. Overall, I absolutely love Cole and number six together (Don't want to spoil her name) they were great, and the epilogue was absolutely amazing, really loved it.
