When Gia Montgomery's boyfriend, Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she'd been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend—two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.

The problem is that days after prom, it's not the real Bradley she's thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn't even know. But tracking him down doesn't mean they're done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party—three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.

Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.

This was my second Kasie West book and all I can say is Kasie West did not disappoint. I have previously read 'The Distance Between us' and that was an amazing book so I was as equally intrigued and excited when I herd about her new book.

I loved the whole aspect of 'The Fill-in Boyfriend' however I loved the friendship aspect of this book tremendously. I hated Gia's friends from the start, I thought she deserved better. Gia, I felt couldn't be herself when she was around them.

This book deals with teenage issues with the consequences of lying and the importance of friendship. As I have stated before, I absolutely loved the friendship aspect. The moral being choose your friends wisely.

I also loved the relationship the fill-in boyfriend (name I will not mention) had with his sister, Becca. It was truly amazing and cute how overprotective Becca was of her older brother around Gia, really their whole family dynamic was so warm and inviting that i wanted to be a part of their family. The fill-in boyfriend is so unbelievably cute, the banter between him and Gia was hilarious, I couldn't stop smiling and laughing at how adorable they were together.

Overall I absolutely adored this book and am excited for Kasie West's new contemporary books.
