“Once upon a time…”
Hate consumed him.
Love wrecked me.
That night changed both our lives, turning our beginning into something toxic. We were poison together and there was no antidote.
Our story began like any other fairy tale ended.
With a beautiful wedding.
One kiss.
Two rings.
Three vows.
Killian Spencer became my lawfully wedded husband and I, his dutiful wife.
But he was no Prince Charming. He didn’t come to save me… and he vowed there would be no happily ever after.
And me?
Just like the legends I'd read as a little girl, I always thought I’d be the princess in my fairy tale.
Well, I was the villain of our love story.
“Till death do us part…”

This book is about Julianna Romano who was arranged to marry Killian Spencer by her father. Their story is one that took me by surprise and completely ruined me when reading. It is probably best to go in without knowing too much and let the book surprise you.
Killian and Julianna were so perfect together and their story is one of absolute love and heartache and it will tear you apart. These characters made me feel various emotions whilst reading, especially that of heartache that I did not expect.
Throughout this book I had conflicted feelings towards Killian but in the end, he swayed me over and made me love him very much. His character intrigued me so much and his pain made me ache for him. He is protective and fierce and oh so loyal. Although, Killian does come off as an absolute as*hole, he has his reasons which are explained and justified and in my eyes, he did redeem himself.
Julianna was an amazing character to read about. Her story took me by surprise and made me feel so much for her. She is a strong character who overcomes her hardships and you get to truly see her character growth throughout the book. Both Julianna and Killian's character growths individually and together as a couple is done very well.
Also, this book was paced right and I never felt bored or felt like it was dragging. It was a page turner for me and each chapter intrigued me and left me wanting more. It was filled with angst and plot twists that captivated me.
I loved the relationship and chemistry between Julianna and Killian. They were imperfectly perfect for each other and their love story is one that will be unforgettable.
