“You’ll never be able to find yourself if you’re lost in someone else.”

I love Colleen Hoover’s books, even though I have only read three and two of those have been absolutely beautiful, I’ve read, ‘Ugly Love’ and ‘Confess’ in which I enjoyed both so very much, however ‘Ugly Love’ became one of my all-time favourite books. I however did not enjoy ‘November 9’ as much as I wanted to. Maybe because I set high expectations, but whatever it was I’m afraid to say I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

I was half way through this book when I put it down for a while, and I don’t remember the reason why, I think I was just bored with the story. This book did have a unique concept in which, a writer and a girl he met, meet every year, once on the 9th of November and with those meetings, the writer, Ben, will get inspired (or something like that) in which her writes his novel.

I shove the dress back at him. “I don’t want to wear that, I want to wear this.”
“No,” he says. “I’m paying for dinner, so I get to choose what to stare at while we eat.”

I did not like Ben, I thought he was too controlling and over bearing and I couldn’t bear to read another sentence where he controls Fallon. I get that it was supposed to be sweet and all but I just couldn’t with Ben, maybe it was because of how he was described but I just didn’t like him.
Colleen Hoover’s new book titled, ‘It ends with us’ is set to release on the 2nd of August and I am excited to read this, I’m just hoping that the main character is not like Ben. There are people out there who have enjoyed this book, and I’m sure that there will be many more, it’s just that this book was not for me, if you like the concept of this book then give it a go, form your own opinions and maybe you might just like it a hell of a lot more than I did.

“I thought I was stronger than a word, but I just discovered that having to say goodbye to you is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”
