February 3  A single Glance by W. Winters  Standalone From  USA Today  bestselling author Willow Winters comes a heart-wrenching, edge-of-your-seat gripping, romantic suspense.  I saw her from across the bar.  My bar. My city. Everything in that world belonged to me.  She stood out from the crowd like she was looking for someone to blame for her pain.  That night, I felt the depths of my mistakes. I felt my scars. With a single glance, I knew her touch would take it all away. I craved it more than anything.  I knew she would be a tempting, beautiful mistake.  One I would make again and again... even if it cost me everything.  February 5 Fame, Fate and the First Kiss by Kasie West  Standalone Lacey Barnes has dreamt of being in a movie for as long as she can remember. However, while her dream did include working alongside the hottest actor in Hollywood, it didn’t involve having to finish up her senior year of high school at the same time she was getting her big break. REVIEW: In The Land of Gods and Monsters by Carmen Jenner

Title: In The Land of Gods and Monsters Series: Gods and Monsters book 1 Author: Carmen Jenner Publication Date: November 20, 2018 Rating: ★★★☆☆ Goodreads | Amazon What is this book about? In the land of gods and monsters, she was a toy. A plaything. A pet. His pet. Taken, stolen, beaten, used. Pet remembers nothing before his touch, and afterward she craves nothing more. Sinful and merciless, Ares is her god now. He alone says when to beg, when to come, and when to kneel, but he never said anything about leaving. Warning: In the Land of Gods and Monsters is a dark romance novel. It contains strong sexual themes, dubious consent, graphic violence, and may contain triggers for some readers. My Thoughts...  I was so excited to read this book, I had herd such amazing things and for the most part it lived up to the hype. But after maybe 30 to 40 percent of the book, it started to become a little too predictable. I kept on reading because i do enjoy a dark story. However th

Title: Out of The Blue Series: Standalone   Author: Lila Rose Publication date: October 23, 2018 Rating: ★★★★☆ Goodreads  | Amazon What is This Book About?  At forty, Lan Davis is looking for his damned picket fence and 2.5 kids. What he doesn’t expect is instead of a wife in the picture, his mind keeps conjuring up images of two men. One, his partner in the force, who is as straight as they came, the other an ex, who he’d hurt but never forgot.  After an incident leaves Lan injured, the two men rally around him… only maybe they shouldn’t have. It seems a medicated Lan is a truthful one.  Parker Wilding is pissed at the world. His anger builds when his partner refuses medical care after an attack. Instead, Lan entrusts his neighbour to take care of him—a guy Parker doesn’t trust. While he’s aware they share a history,  when the past is revealed, the truth shocks the hell out of him.  Being emotionally crushed ten years ago, Easton Ravel hoped he would never have to see the man

My Favourite Books of 2018

Image
This year was not such a good year for me reading wise. I barely finished my Goodreads goal of reading 50 books and more than not, the books I would read I was not feeling them, did not find them interesting and would either lose interest really quickly and stop reading that book or I would peer through and not really like it, thus giving the book a lower rating. it could be that I was kind of in a reading slump and nothing was really interesting... I blame Kingdom of Ash! but in all fairness I was kind of a slumpy reader this whole year. I am wishing and hoping that in 2019 I read more books that I like and enjoy them. I am also looking forward to the releases in 2019, there are so many good ones I am just beyond excited! I will be doing monthly releases on my blog so you can stay tuned to see what to look forward to the following month! wow I really rambled on... anyways, lets get on with some of my favourite reads of 2018. The first book that blew me away this year was The Sky i
